Owl had since ventured out to meet his master and gave a inquiring chirp. The mandalorian raised a hand that conveyed a: not now, as he stalked back towards the speeder. I was (finally) playing Bastion's Star Wars RPG again yesterday, and (hooray, finally!) got the chance to have my Zabrak Mando go back home so she could figure out why other Mandos kept looking at her funny in bars; oh, and on the way, ended up with an entourage of twelve black and red armored Mando escorts. At least one of them even had neat armor that changed to a more subtle green at the touch of a button! ...

Meh - if

dalyc - female

talyc - bloody, bloodstained; rare (as in steak)

ulyc - careful

balyc - also

tracinya - flame (tracyn-fire)

I'd probably go with talyc or ulyc if I had to choose one that was ...

As a general guide, I cover a few genres, but I will only put my Clone-related fan fiction here. Feel free to look at my fan fiction profile to see where else I like to roam: Ms.MaraJade

My first attempt into the world of Star Wars fan fiction came as a little one-shot entitled "Expectations," that I think showcases a decent touch of the Mandalorian culture. It's a scene I had hoped was in Order 66 after a particular conversation between Kal and Ordo.

I met some, and it appalled me at the time. Nowadays it's more rare because of how kids get to know it from other kids at school + the merchandising and how you can see all sorts of Star Wars references on TV.

But I think there are still a lot of people around the globe who don't actually know or don't care what it's about. Since I'm not as social as I used to be, I haven't been confronted to them again to know if I would try to educate them ...

Im going to be using a few different materials this time, suck as resin and fiberglass, and improving on a few areas that I know were really just terrible ideas. as if right now all I have to show is a early design of the base helmet look but im going to start work on it this week or the next depending on the weather.

Do you think the Mandalorians will be a playable CLASS? Perhaps race? Why?

ALSO, I'm not sure how I intend to play my Mando (if he isn't a class or race). Do I want to make him a Mando that doesn't acknowledge the Mand'alor, so he works for the Republic as a high-ranking Trooper? ...

Well, yes read it if you ever come across it but don't take it too seriously. I went 3 books into it and found it entertaining for a while; it's interesting to see the harshness of the galaxy through a young boy's eyes but it's highly unrealistic.

After a few hours the glorification of Jango and his "holo manifesto" seems a little too convenient and I just don't adhere to the whole bounty hunter kid saga. I think it sort of made me step away from the ...

A friend of mine (who is now the proud owner of a shadow trooper costume ) sent me this video last night. It's trooper-heavy, but there are also Mandalorians (and Jedi and Sith), a badass fight, and rather well-done video and editing work. Also, DEFINITELY watch through past the credits, as there's a short bit afterward that alludes to a potential second film (that I can only hope they actually do!).

Do enjoy!

Now that we've picked our favorite novels, let's narrow it down to favorite characters! I tried to make some categories as well as include single characters. Explain here who you chose!

I'm not sure who's my ultimate favorite. But I refuse to make it multiple choice!

Oh, and Legacy characters count too--Mirta Gev, Beviin, etc.

Besides costuming and such, how do you apprehend life with a "Mandalorian" state of mind? I'm NOT talking about the small things like cleaning your house, not talking much or having no friends.

For example, I decided a few years back that if I want to start a family I would adopt instead of reproducing. This is mostly because I'm carrying a load of annoying genetic ancestry that I do not care to pass on. Secondly, there are way too many orphans in this world.

I also got myself ...

Dose Ordo: Learning the Hard way

The sound of Cantina music was muzzled out by the sensors in Dose’s helmet. One by one it singled out voices of the patrons talking freely unaware of the scan. The heads up display cycled images in one corner while the audio display line dance wildly with every change. While Coronet was one of the galaxies larger more developed cities their cantinas ...

So I was flipping through my Dark Times issues 'cause I was bored and wanted to read them again. And because I started a thread on Legacy, I thought I'd post one for Dark Times as well.

All in all, Dark Times started out interesting, but it tapered off after the first story arc 'cause the story ended on such a flat note.

I love the characters, 'cause its the only title I've seen that have such an array of aliens really in the focus of the story, not all humans. Actually, Dass Jennir ...

So is there anyone else reading this series? I have to say since it started, its my favorite series yet of all Star Wars. I like the fact that its taken from what's established and actually evolved. I like the establishment of the Imperial Knights, the creation of the One Sith.

The One Sith is interesting to me, because Darth Krayt has gone against the grain and isn't trying to continue what Darth Bane had instated for their culture. He's risen them from nothing and made an impressive force. ...

(OOC) Planning Thread!

This is going to be super special awesome.

Let's brainstorm some ideas!

First, what timeframe are we doing? Off of the top of my head, we could do:

Old Republic
...Regular Republic (pre-Clone Wars)
Clone Wars
Empire
New Republic

What do you guys want to do? I'm leaning toward either Empire or Old Republic. And obviously, if you have other timelines in mind, bring them up!

It's costume time!

Post a picture, tell us how you made it, and any other details you want! How long did it take? How difficult was it? Did you base it off of a character? When you wear it, do you feel like that character?

I'll start us off below because mine turned out terribly and the rest of you will feel better about yours!

(PS - we'll make this the official "showing off" thread, but feel free to make your own threads for planning/construction of future costumes or ...
