| Is this that kind of month? Busy, or hectic, or lazy? It feels like no one comes around here, and I miss you guys. | |

| Speaking for myself, I've always been watchful for activity several times a day, though I'm guessing others are busy with summer time activities. Let's not get into that upsetting topic In my opinion everybody should have a laptop or PDA with wireless internet for the sole purpose of being here. | |

Blah. Between the traffic from France and the traffic from the western US, I don't have a chance. XD

| I've been ridiculously busy just running around doing NOTHING. But I miss you guys too. I usually try and lurk in the chat to entice people to come in, but my Internet use has been mostly popping in to check, not to hang around. :/
On one of the old forums that had a chat, we used to do like "scheduled" chat nights where we would all try to show up at once so everyone was around. That may be impossible with the timezone differences here, but maybe we could work out a couple of meeting times so no one is left out.
We also did Skype Nights. Bahahaha, it would be a multi-lingual bash.

But I get the thing about the timezones. Blast this unstandardized planet! - Catika wrote:

What? Some people speaking english, others their mother tongue, with a few leet terms (noob, etc.) all tossed in with a generous spattering of Mando'a? I think that's a linguist's nightmare (or wet dream, they're confusing people), all right.

| Don't feel limited by the different timezones and feel free to program scheduled chats if many of you can attend. It's what the chatbox is about: casual, unassuming, non-serious socializing. It doesn't matter if not everybody can be there at the same time, as long as some people are having fun using it. The forum is here to make the conversations last longer to "merge" the timezones. Also it's good to have lots of topics and posts to read in a break from work or before going to sleep. So why aren't we using that anymore? Why should it always be the same 3-4 people who start discussions? Has everybody lost interest in Star Wars and/or Mandos all of the sudden? Are we all so busy with other social networking sites that MandoBoard becomes a lesser waste of time? Debate | |

Debate THEORY ONE: People are lazy. Can't go wrong with that one. THEORY TWO: People are intimidated. Hut'uune. -_- I don't usually start topics because I rarely have much to say (though if I get a good digital camera eventually and time to try my hand at cooking you can bet on me eventually starting a 'The Mando Chef' thread!), so I like replying to topics more. Though about the intimidation theory... I suppose I can cut them a little tiny bit of slack. I mean, with the mighty and honorable Daennika and Catika around, I guess they're a bit humbled... XD

| I've been wondering where everyone is lately myself. Everytime I check in no one is on and there are like no posts. 0_o
I'm just about always on the computer when I'm not working, so I check by a lot. There are a good amount of people in chat now as I type this though, so that's good. (:
Yay for some stuff to read XD

But I will be back sporadically for a while to come until I can get home and back to regular life... But until then I will have limited time on the net Tracyn

If I hit the "Edit" instead of the "Quote" button one more time, I will have to ban myself. "Mighty and honorable," huh? You're just trying to butter us up aren't you?! I would hope no one is intimidated. That would make me a sad panda. But we're all Mandos here, we can overcome intimidation and laziness and being busy!

| Just wanted to say that I check these boards out at least once a day. I don't post much because I'm one of those people who feels that if I don't have anything constructive to offer, I won't waste everyone's time by posting unnecessarily. I've heard complaints about people on one of the other boards I frequent who post controversies and unintelligent posts just to "rack up post counts." I've never understood the reason to do that, and I'm pretty glad I don't see that happening here. | |

| Well, I know where I have been - running all around the city herding a bunch of gallant navy officers from Poland, but now they're off to high seas and I am back to the Net and the board. And I'm sorry if my absence caused some troubles (I hope it didn't). | |

| Well I think this very thread is proof of life aboard this..err board Time zones can hurt but they don't kill jsut remember that you can always have 'chats' on threads if you can't in real time. Being in Australia puts me in a similar situation to Aster but I'm used to that lol so it doesn't bother me much. Mighty and honourable Daennika and Catika...seems like there's their are two Mandalores on this forum I don't usually start threads unless I feel an absolute need to do so or if I need help with something (like the sig thread). It always seemed odd for non admins or higher uppers to start threads...don't ask me why I have no clue why but it that's how I felt. Though it seems we are encourged to do so soooo..now where did I put that 80 page list of thread topics | |

| All new forums have their threads started by the moderators who want to "fill up" the boards with content so they take the initiative. Eventually, a message board is a place where anybody should have the freedom to start a topic of discussion, ask questions or share thoughts whenever the mood strikes. | |

| OYA! Forums like this one should be just about people that have similar interests just hanging out and chatting, with out having to worry about the more rigid structure of other more specialised forums i.e costuming forums etc...
