| Okay...so I'm planning to draw out a Mando character for my fan-fic, Star Wars: Testament.
I was wondering, are blue and red alright colors for Beskar'gam? I've used those for a character in Second Life, but I'd just like someone else's opinion. Character's indifferent, carefree, and a bit sarcastic for the most part. May use traditional Beskar, might spice him up a bit, but either way, I've decided to name him after my account here, Shas Kal'Abra.
So what's your opinion? Lemme know, I'm all ears.

| I like the red in the picture. Maybe go with a darker and deeper blue so the red stands out more. | |

...Personally I think nobody should care what color your character's armor is, especially if your character is going to be acting in text forms (fanfic/RPG). There are a few symbolic color codes for Mandalorian armor paint - and I'll let someone else list them - but it seems that (according to very fleeting details in the books), most Mando's don't pay much mind to them and use colors they like, period.
Up to you if you think those colors go well together. As an artist I'm telling you right now that it looks like crappy Lego. Use different shades of blue and red to make them match somehow. | |

| Alright, thanks! And it's for a comic I'm trying to work on, though a combination of my own procrastination and Life altogether is keeping me from getting started for sure.
Might even go with totally different colors in general, as this character is still in the early stages. Originally had him named "Shas Rendar", but I decided that using a surname of someone that isn't even mando'ad was kind of pointless. Soooooo...a name that was made up out of nowhere kind of sounds better.
Any other suggestions O.o? | |

| Here’s the colours I could find Shas as Daenika says it’s up to you what colour you choose. Has any body got a template or something of a mando that you can swap and change colours to see what it looks like? I’m still not sure what colours to go with for my armour.  Gray = Mourning a Lost Love Red = Honoring a Father Black = Justice Gold = Vengeance Green = Duty Blue = Reliability | |

| the blue would look great with the red if you add some gray into the mix. it would give it more of a faded/desaturated blue. the reason i say fade the blue is mainly because if you get too much of a blue (like on jango's helmet) and you mix that with a red and maybe some silver/chrome stuff on the gear or even damage, you will be looking kind of like a patriotic, all american mando lol.
but yeah i like how the red stands out. | |

| I agree with whitecrow1- Some gray would work wonders for the armor. A more faded out blue also on the armor. | |

It just so happens that one does, in fact, exist. It doesn't do any sort of special markings (you'll have to apply those or any sort of asymmetry yourself), but it's pretty extensive otherwise. You can do just the helmet, or the full armor, and it has options for different blasters, kamas, and other crucial Mando accessories.  If you plan on making your armor more personalized, it's certainly a good base to start with (especially for those without super-special-awesome drawing skills). | |
