Yeah, now I see it too. And that makes me want to kill somebody. Why there should always be some stupid controversions between people, especially the people who are involved in making a one great thing?

I am quite surprised that they're putting Mandos in it, and was rather happy. But we all know they get slaughtered. Jedi always win.

And I seriously will be mad to see the 'new' Mandalore and all that crap.

Hey for all we know it makes Mandalorians just as cool, if not cooler then what KT has done. But ya expect them to lose in the end because they where not a major player in the movies GCW so something gonna have to give. Plus the jedi always win in the end.

If they even manage to beat up Kenobi a little bit I'll be (pleasantly) surprised, haha. Can't dissapoint the kiddies right? But yeah. I hope it at least portrays them as bad-asses.

Haha, I agree with all that.............heh, maybe we'll get a burst of luck and they will rough Obi up a little. I mean, they're going all out by making Anakin have a padawan, and Obi another girlfriend....geez. And they give Traviss the boot. (Her bullying of some fans aside)

If anyone is interested, my stepson just gave me an update on this.

Season 2 starts Friday, October 2 on Cartoon Network at 8:00 pm EST.

I'm excited for the season, but a bit apprehensive since if this Satine character is the same Satine as described in a recent book I picked up (the Atlas). She's appearently the new leader of the Mandalorians, a Duchess that is into pacifism as most Mandalorians had been for some 730 years (or at least according to the book). So don't expect the same Mandalorians as we all adore, Lucas and co might just completely re-imagine them.

Well its safe to say that the Mandalorians we see in the trailer are not Pacifists.

Just sit back and watch what they have to offer. Once again: stop relying on outside sources (aka. a kid's tv show...) to feel good about yourself.

If you want Mandalorians to be bad ass warriors who bow to no one, then make it so in your fanfic, comic, custom RPG or whatever.

Just let me remind you all "I don't like change"-people that the best quality of a warrior is adaptation and self-reliability. If I see yet another one posting non-constructive comments like what Valara did I will lock this thread. Capeesh?

Then its a good thing I haven't posted my personal opinions about this series in here.

I'm gonna watch it Friday night hopefully. Its not on my list of important things to do, simple because I still don't like TCW series period but I am interested in the darker themes that's promised for this season.

But, in the fallout of the show, I can say I'm interested to see where it places the Mandalorians down the road. It makes them a rarity and a more ominous group than they have been for a long while again. The idea of Mandalorian warriors being people who you speak of in hushed whispers always have appealed to me.

Plus, it made KT take her ball and go home. I really can't say that's a bad thing either because if LFL does allow Mandalorians to keep the hot air that's been pumped into them, then it'll be nice to see a new writer take a new direction with them.

I think we should all know that there is a difference between not "liking change" and not "accepting change" Clarification.

Oh...right thats this friday-theres supposed to be some marathon of the episodes of the first season...Starts at...2-3 me thinks. Maybe earlier..I just can't remember what day it will be.

I'm wondering how much a retcon this episode will make to the rest of the continuity, like if the title of Mandalore will disappear in favour of a Duke and Duchess. Or perhaps they won't change anything at all, but introduce new stuff that can be easily reconciled with all that's come before.

What do you guys think? Think we'll see the establishment of the leader of the Mandalorians be made into a Duke? Duke Mereel? Duke Ordo? Duke the Indomitable?

Well, I definitely hope they don't say too much that'll simply erase something that's become very established, not just in KT's literature but in the comics and games as well. Better if they can make this new sect into a new content, not simply a reverse of all previous content.

Can't say I espect them to revamp the Mandies completely, though. Just wondering how it'll affect all other continuity.

That seems probable. Something like the title of sir in the British knighthood perhaps; it doesn't matter where you are, you'll always bear the title if you've been knighted.

Or maybe she thinks she can fool the Mandies into thinking she is important because she's nobility somewhere else. Can't think of a funnier way of having the Mandies hostile to her. J/K

I wanted mandos' but I'll be patent and wait. ):

I haven't seen it, so I don't know what happened (besides what was posted), but...were y'all really, honestly thinking we'd have Mandos from the get-go? o_O' If they had shown up in the last season at all, then okay, maybe they'd have shown up in the pilot episode to hint that they'd be back again this time 'round, but the pilot episode is for getting people back into the swing of things and introducing new people to the series...they're going to start out with the main characters, and maybe some throwaway people or new main characters to help show the settings and such, perhaps a long-standing (or future long-standing) villain to do the same. I say to expect at least a few, probably several episodes before any noticeable Mandos show up. From what I've seen, they just seem like they'll be villains that will probably be the main-ish villains for a short while, just long enough to count for something, and then disappear from radar.

Or, y'know, become good-guy pacifists like certain sources seem to hint at.

It's not what I meant, I mean Kad Bane seemed so much more bad ass in the trailers... I kind of expected him to do more and for the clones to be better. But like any of the battles, the clones are starting to miss a lot of shots! [ head to head battles seems to last for long periods of time...]

And just... I expected more gritty bitter reality.

But instead we have Anakin losing to Kad Bane, getting back on the ship and saying "I won" with a big smile on his face...

That part kinda pissed me off. He was so cocky despite the clones he lost back there. Unless they were trying to imply that all the ones that had been shot were simply wounded but even so, war is not just fun and games. I really hate how they usually portray that the clones are mostly just expendable, and try to say otherwise at other times (i.e. in that episode where Yoda tells the clones that they are each unique in the Force and whatever the hell).
