Choose your adoptive parents?

If it was possible to choose who your parental roles are, and if one day you wake up on Mandalore and get to pick one clan or family to belong to, which one would it be?

Think long and hard (that's what she said), it could be a character of your creation or a canon one. But you only get to pick one!

But you must be aware that once you made your choice, they're going to give you a hard time because in the natural course of things, the Mandalorian picks YOU. So, tough shit.

I'd pick Rav Bralor, I want her as my mommy. Then I'd work on getting Bardan drunk

I have to agree with Catika; I'ma Beviin fangirl. <3 He's everything I love in a dad, man, and Mando; and I like it when people are described as having an 'easy smile.'

I mean, come on; if he can make Boba Fett scuff his shoes guiltily in the dirt, he's #1.

Kal'buir. When your dad is willing to give the entire Republic the equivalent of flipping the bird just to help you and your brothers out, you know he's a badass and loves you. Plus, he raised the Nulls, the most awesome result of Jango's clones (Boba doesn't count).

Actually I'm going to go with Rem and Amyr Meshkad, Catika's original characters. Rem's goofy but is strong and a good teacher and Amyr adores her children but has no problem cracking down the whip. Then that would mean Jatne is my brother and I could be all
"Hey Jatne, how's the girl situation going on hmmm?"
And then Tracyn and I would braid each others hair.

Catika's like a father to me so that's probably why I picked her characters.

I'm so honored that you would pick Rem and Amyr! Amyr would love you dearly because, as a default, she loves the children that she didn't have to go into labor for more than the ones she did. ie, clones and you! :3 And Rem would make you gourmet uj cakes and show you how to play baseball.

I did some thinking, and it would be cool if Fi and Parja adopted me. But I would have to be a little kid, otherwise it's just weird. I guess if Kal adopted me, Fi and Parja would be my siblings... maybe that would be better.

I thought about being adopted by Ordo and Besany.

Then I pictured Ordo holding his infant child while it hits him repeatedly in the face with a squeaky toy. And then when he's training them he'd be like "RUN FASTER, YOU HAVE SUPERIOR GENES!" and then they'd fall down and cut their knee and Ordo would run over and fuss over it. Then Besany would have to put a bandaid on it and tell Ordo to calm down.

I've been thinking about this thread for quite some time. I have to say it's rather difficult for me to chose. I mean, I saw someone previously posted Ordo and Besany, and I thought "Great choice!" But, then it occurred to me that since I'm a bit older than the rest of you, wouldn't it be weird for me to choose adoptive parents that are YOUNGER than me???

At 34 years old, I think I'd be stuck with either Kal, Rav, or Vau. I'm certainly not against any of these three personally. However, when thinking about choosing one of the Clones/Commandos, the reality (ha!) is that they would be chronologically 10-12 years old and still LOOK younger than me until they hit maybe 15-20 years old! I mean, a Clone/Commando would be awesome for teaching me things like self-defense and how to do military stuff that I am clueless about. But, then again, the Clones learned from the likes of Kal, Rav, and Vau all they know, too.

Bottom line I guess is that I'd have to go with Kal because that would set me up to become a sister to Ordo, and that would be just fine by me. Then, I could visit Uncle Vau to play with Mird.

Haha, good thinking! I like where you're going with that post. If I were to be 10-12 again I would sooo be all over Bardan's jock. I'm curious to know just how much he actually knows about soldiering. And if he fails as a father then I'll use him for unlimited uj cake.

I'd like to be original and say "Vau!", but I won't. I'd better have a man like him as an uncle, so that I could learn from him, but he didn't have too much authority over me. So, I'd pick Kal. I've always wanted to have a big loving family with a lot of brothers, sisters and cousins... And if I join the Skirata clan, I'll surely have the best brothers and sisters in the Galaxy!

Me and Demagol would probably have a great long discussion about science, and since he's really the only noteable Mandie scientist I'd go for him. Just would have to introduce morphine and sedatives into the lab for merci and watch a lot of gruesome stuff to get the stomach lined up for action.

Hmm... I would either have to choose... Kal Skirata, because I've always thought of him as a fatherly figure, Ordo Skirata, which wouldn't work so well considering my obsession with Mereel... or Walon Vau, even though he's a "mean" and "evil" guy on Kamino, we know he actually does care about his troops. Especially Delta. Because their amazing. Plus, Vau's got a strill.

Kal'Buir, hands down. No-one else gives so much of a damn about his boys. After four RC books, I
wish I could be one of Kal'Buir's adopted boys.

I think I'd like (N-7) Mereel to be my daddy, haha. I'd have some coaching on these social skills that I seem to be lacking (as far as picking up the males are concerned), I can be his winglady for the ladies, and our dare-devil like personalities would mesh rather well.

Or so I like to tell myself.
The fact that he'd probably be a really tough parent is also something of a... plus, in my mind.
