New Clone Wars game!

Well looks like there is another game that could potentially put you behind the visor of the failing republics cloned cannon poodoo. Star Wars Clone Wars Republic Heroes is set to release this september. Can't really tell you much about this game since there's only one video and some screenies. We'll see if there's anything to this game as time of its release grews closer.

Oh, maybe they'll finally let us know what happened to Sev. I really hope so, 'cause I hate not knowing if he's alive or KIA or whatever.

It looks like just a video game adaptation of the Clone Wars TV show and not Republic Commando which seems, and this angers me deeply, to have its own franchise now...

When the Clone Wars came out, I was holding out with a tiny shred of hope that something about a sequel to RepCom would be announced. It seemed like a good time to remind everyone about a Clone Wars-centric game and release its sequel. But nooo, everyone likes Jedi too damn much, and no one at LucasArts gives a crap about poor Sev.

I don't know about this game. It's like, hey don't we already have Battlefront? Jedi and blaster-wielding characters can only get more lame in an adventure plot game. Give us another FPS with Rex and Cody or something. If it's anything like RepCom, it would be enjoyable. But if I want to play a game as a Jedi, I'm going to play The Force Unleashed, not this crap.

Let us write to Lukas Arts and demand that Sev's fate be unveiled and a RepCom sequel created.

if it's going to be anything like that clone wars duel game for the Wii, it's gonna be a kids game. It seems that lucasarts is heading that way. "to inspire a new generation of star wars fans!" makes me sick.

I miss the days where games were made for the game's sake. Not for the sake of who they want to play them.

I played the demo on the Xbox 360 the other day, and it was very disappointing. The controls were weird, the camera was uncontrollable and there was no manual aim at all. I don't think anyone should so much as waste the time that it takes to download the free demo.

I didn't particularly care for the game myself. I rented it. I liked the character designs, like Sergeant Boomer, but other than that, I can't particularly say I cared for it. The Jedi had some of the most crap lines I'd ever heard. The clones had slightly better dialogue, but in order to use your secondary weapon, you had to hold down a shoulder button. Personally, I'm tired of Lucasarts' hit-and-miss attitude.

Yeah, I know this game was supposed to be geared toward the younger crowd, but I doubt even they'd want to play it due to the sheer unneeded difficulty that's put into having to control characters.
