I may be single but my pet can eat your pet any day

You people might think that I have no life outside of fan art and day dreaming about Bardan Jusik well you'd be wrong! Here's my baby: a 3 year old Japanese Akita called Dikson. Don't ask me where the name comes from because I didn't choose it.

I want to snuggle him!

I had a dream that someone tied up 3 Akitas by the door to a classroom, and one kept getting his tail pinched when the door opened. I tried to rescue him, but then there was a komodo dragon in front of me, so I got scared and ran away.

But if it was Dikson I would have fought the komodo dragon, for sure. :p

What a powerful, creepy dream. The power of wolf dogs reaches overseas!!!!

Hey, it's like I said, he is dog of the people. He's the kind of character people put up on propaganda posters that say, "SUPPORT THE CAUSE!" In big bold letters.

Indeed, people love him but what most don't know is - and I discovered this recently - that he loves them back.

When I got him on his first walks with me last year we met one of our neighbors who was interested in getting an Akita someday and we talked for like 10 minutes. We saw him a second time this week in the evening and Dikson recognized him right away. It's like he was looking for a daddy (since he only has mommies at home).

As for Dikson... I love big dogs! The more they look capable of crushing a small child, the better. (Not that I have anything against small children...)

And there's nothing wrong with being single. Pfft.

Dikson does not crush children, he actually likes humans (only the ones he judges "friendly") but hates loud teenagers. And all other dogs.

But he loves to eat, and he's a very off topic picture.

Everyone's doggies are so cute! I'm tres jealous. I wish I had one too--they really are a Mando's best friend. :3

So, I was at a Halloween party the Saturday before Halloween (which is unusual 'cause I don't drink and mostly avoid those who do, but whatever). Near the end, I heard some mewing across the backyard; had Kyr'ika go oggle 'cause his nightvision is a bit better'n mine, and found a lonely kitten. So I went an' fetched it, got it some food, and took it home. Luckily, it was old enough to have mostly learned the kitty things it needed to, and has no problems eating hard food (though it has recently taken to suckling, so we got it some cream, too). Stereotypical cat because she loves string and hates dogs (who can blame her--there was a dog on the other side of the fence she was hiding by that would bark any time someone got close, which was often), but she has proven herself to be mandokarla. Still young, so she's still got some learnin' ta do, but she's got a good bit of the hunt in her--when she gets too playful, she'll start going for vital parts of hands and arms and try to maul and kill them. This seems to work especially well when we've got Mandalorian music playin'...and so, I named the little feller Rav.


This was the best, clearest, full-body shot we could get. It's hard when you have a playful, spazzy kitten. ^_^'


Shoulda taken a picture when we first got her, but oh well...her eyes were just as grey as her coat, which was real pretty, but are slowly turning amber. Still pretty, just less unique.


Got lucky and happened to get a shot of her unique stripe pattern. She has a little heart-shaped lookin' thing going on on each of her sides. 'S cute.


Another lucky shot...she looks like she's got the Katarn armor visor glow going on in her pupil. ^_^

So, yes. I have a kitten, like it was meant to be! Makes me so happy, I've been wanting one for a long while now.

My parents have a male cat (13 years old now) that looks exactly like her.

Best of luck with her, and my cat is a biter, too. Once he goes in for the kill...we'll let's just say I nearly named him Atilla as opposed to Chewie! Had the RepCom/ImpCom stories been around when I got him 9 years ago, he might have been named Mird.

Again, beautiful little girl you have there. May you both share a long life of joy.

I keep hearing that she looks like other cats. Kyr'ika had a massive, 20-pound cat before I met him that did. It's so funny. And if she had been the same weird almost-pink color that a litter an old cat of mine had one time, I totally would have named her Mird.
