| So, this is a hugely debated topic on the main SW:TOR forums. Sorry if I'm reposting here, but I was tl;dr the entire forum and I wanted to have a new, meaningful post after such a long hiatus. >>;
Do you think the Mandalorians will be a playable CLASS? Perhaps race? Why?
ALSO, I'm not sure how I intend to play my Mando (if he isn't a class or race). Do I want to make him a Mando that doesn't acknowledge the Mand'alor, so he works for the Republic as a high-ranking Trooper? Or the standard Jaded Mando that's a Bounty Hunter, who wants to believe in the new Mand'alor but can't?!

| I believe there's already a topic concerning Mandalorians in this game but since you asked...
Wait for the game to come to its finalizing stage before you plan on what character you'll be RPing.
Personally, I think the classes are kinda rubbish and don't fit the idea I have about the evolution of a character in the GFFA (see this? TOR isn't even Star Wars for me). Remember that Mandalorians are regarded as a "nation" and defining it as a class/profession doesn't make any sense. "Race" even less.
Would you like to be a mercenary, a smuggler, a soldier or a wizard? That's what TOR is all about in the main lines. What you do outside the game mechanics is not subject to a debate.
I know you expected something cheerful and open-minded for a first reply, since this is a mandalorian-related forum and all, but I'm not a fan of speculating and what-if's.

There are so many different reasons why Mando would not make sense as a class nor a race that... well, if you call yourself a fan of Mandalorians, you should know why.

| Do we really need another SWTOR topic?
And the idea of Mandalorians having their own class or race or what ever in SWTOR would just be retarded.

| Methinks the Bounty Hunter class will be the Mandalorian "class". Why? 1) It's appropriate to the setting of the game, most Mandalorians after the Mandalorian Wars became disillusioned by the whole going to war for the divine carnage and glory it promises and became bounty hunters or mercenaries. 2) It's a class that's got heavy armour as a specialty, and a class that confronts the enemy head on (appearently). 3) The class is built on the only two Mandalorians in the film: the Fetts. And finally 4), the class information page on the website says that some hunters go by the Mandalorian code of honour.
Obviously the Mandalorians won't make it as a class on it's own in the game because it's both not very cleaver to have two very alike classes just for the sake of having a Mandalorian name on one and not the other and also because it's geared to fans, film-only fans and non-fans. The solution to this all would be to have the option of later in the game be identified as a Mandalorian mercenary through the hunter, and through storyline options (choices will affect things throughout they say), and to have Mandalorian items in the game that hunters will be able to use.

| I hope Mandalorians are just side quests and if you want to be a Mandalorian... you simply RP that your one. Mandalorians are not a race, and they are not limited to the concept of a class. A Mandalorian is a culture spreading across many different race abd cultures. | |

| A couple of amusing things we have noticed while talking on MSN (so that everyone else can share the lolz with us): ~If Blackalore were to lift up his arms, he'd slice off the top of his head right above his ears with those crazy pauldrons. ~That is, if he could even lift his arms at all. ~And he'd never be able to hold a rifle properly. ~Also, if he ever had to give a toast, we have decided that he'd have to sit the glass on a table and would resemble something along the lines of this: | |

| The armor is made to swing from over head, kind of like old action figures that could only to the karate chop. That's blackalore for ya :p
I loved this update because I read "mandalorians available to both Sith and Republic sides" XD

Well they saw they couldn't pull a "copy&paste" with the fan base so they made a unique looking mandalore. Honestly I like it Big bulky golden armor with the badass goatee and helmet that gives him better air penetration when flyin through the air when he'll be thrown out of a building by a Sith xP

Perhaps it's all worth it to have the ability to head-butt, epically?
