| http://www.swtor.com/The Bounty Hunter looks friggen SWEET. And I like the trooper too. Unfortunately there isn't much else out about the classes, but I'm getting excited for this. It's over a year out, so I guess we can keep an eye on it. PS - FLAMETHROWER | |

| Judging from the concept art, screen shots and videos, it looks like it's going to be an amazing game. I just hope it's not going to be pay-to-play. | |

| I'm almost positive it will be pay-to-play. Most MMO's are. And even if it isn't a monthly payment, they might have a system where it's free but you pay in order to get the best items/equipment/etc. Bah. | |

| Been watching it since it was announced. Very excited for it, but in ways disappointed by the direction they're taking with the classes. By the way, if it's not pay-to-play, it would become a stagnant game loaded with bugs and problems that otherwise would be fixed regularily. | |

| IF this game turns out fine I would most likely roll a smuggler type, earn a gross amount of credits, flirt with dancers and cyber my way to mayor of a huge city. Try not to have a heart attack while you're watching this, alright. Advice: go to the toilet before you view these trailers... Because I may have miscarried | |

| MY LIFE FOR THE... ... credits. The trailer shown at E3 has no bearing on the actual gameplay or graphics of the MMO in development, so while it looks pretty damn awesome... I'd take it with a grain of salt. Compare it to say... FFVII's amazing Cinematics versus the horrifyingly ugly, blocky real gameplay graphics. Sure, TOR's stylistic choices are something that I'm a personal fan of (stylistic graphics will always outlive "realism") but it is in no way represented by the Cinematic trailer. | |

Sure, TOR's stylistic choices are something that I'm a personal fan of (stylistic graphics will always outlive "realism") but it is in no way represented by the Cinematic trailer. Right on. The trailer actually shows an event that happened years before the start of the game, alongside the webcomic they have on the main site right now. Still, I'm sure the game will look great. Speaking of the look of the game. Did anyone notice the way the Jedi dressed in that trailer? They looked like a bunch of Mandalorians with hoods! Seriously, the whole Republic military looks like one long expy from the Clone Wars era, which isn't necessary a bad thing. Well, expect for what I can only assume are the Antarian Rangers, they look like the Rebel troops from Hoth. The Sith on the other hand look like the bastard child of Darth Vader (the force users) and a Nod Confessor (the rank and file troops).

| Even Vader's visage was based on the Hydian Death Mask in the SWU, so it kinda makes sense that others might emulate the usage or stylings thereof. The screenies look spectacular, especially the armor of the Trooper and the Bounty Hunter. There is a cartoony feel to some early screenshots....larger than normal hands, lightsaber hilt the size of a hair dryer, over developed feet. But as new screens come out, it seems that they're getting further away from the stylized, and showing a more faithful representation. Screenies! | |

| I must say, my friends and I from the TOR boards were collectively freaking out when the video premiered. I've been a very active member of the forums there since the site launched (3500 posts!), and I can't wait for the game. I think it's too early to tell what class I'll go with, etc, but BH and Trooper both look sweet. As for paying per month, I don't like giving up my 15 bucks every 30 days as much as the next person, but I'll gladly pay it for a chance to be a part of Star Wars. ^_^ If anyone wants to add me as a friend on those boards, here's my profile. | |

| Pay to play wouldn't be so bad if they allowed you to farm to pay for that monthly fee. I kid, I dislike MMO farmers as much as the next guy. Seriously though, I intend to get this game once it comes out, and play either the Bounty Hunter, or if they have it, an actual Mandalorian. And I have to say, CGI movies have come a loooooong way since their initial conception; they almost look like real actors! | |

| What kind of upkeep would you expect if you dont want to pay for it? Bioware is a business and if they dont make the money you wont get the gameplay you want. You may wind up with a $15 a month subscription fee like SWG but as long as it goes to support and expantion then I'm all for it.
As for Mandalorians in SW:TOR my personal hopes are that they do as little as possible. A faction would mean any child with a click of a button can say "IMZ TEH MANDALORIAN!" Just give me a suit of armor and I can do the rest myseg (just like we did in SWG). Now that said, we know its become a huge fan base in the past few years and with the Mandalorian Blockade video we know they are around and well organized. So I expect full well for there to be somewhat of a faction, maybe not joinable (through mechanics anyways). Maybe some form of quest series/stronghold something similar to KOTOR2 and lead by "Mand'alor the NPC".

| I was complaining about how they haven't announced Mandalorians as a class, and my friend looked at me and went: "How can there be a Mandalorian class? They're a race." In response, I gawked and went: "Well they--have armor--and values!"
Which, you know, it's not like you inherently play a set of cultural values when you pick your class or whatever in a game. As for the armor, we've already got Bounty Hunters. And the armor is a way better design than any of the Old Republic Mandalorian designs we've seen so far.
In short, I don't think they're going to make "Mandalorians" a class. What would make more sense is if there are Mandalorians in the game, and maybe players can "gain reputation" sort of like in WoW in order to become one. I don't know. Like Dose said, even if there aren't playable Mandos, we can always start a guild and consider ourselves Mando. And personally, I'm totally okay with this.

| Hey guys, just thought I'd drop the link to the new Give Mandalore a Visor thread in the Suggestion forums. http://swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=53461If you have an account there just drop a reply/show your support or whatever. It's not a huge deal, but it's still more than a little irritating to think that a whole nation of warriors would follow a leader who left himself exposed needlessly. | |

| I REEEEAAAALLLLLLYYYY hope that there is space combat. that was by bread and butter in SWG. I enjoy ground combat as much as the next guy but turn based combat isn't really my bag, I prefer to let me and my ship weed out the week (and sometimes the defenseless). | |

| An MMORPG cannot have combat that is turn based. It is impossible to make that work. It will not be KotOR. | |

| not turn based in the sense of Final Fantasy games. but the calculated delay and probability of hitting your target. KOTOR had it SWG had it till the NGE but space combat was just man and machine and it all depended on how good you could fly and how fast you could shoot. | |
