I've seen Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex a few times. I've got a thing for robots, androids, and cyborgs.

I just watched the first episode of Starship Operators. It looks really interesting. I'll have to watch more episodes later.

Well, I have to say that after watching all the episodes of Starship Operators . . . That anime had the most realistic space combat I have ever seen in a "advanced" science fiction show. A bit of a downer ending though, but I felt it was very appropriate all the same.

Thirteen. All the best anime seems to follow this pattern, possibly because a lot of them are based off of light novels and concluded mangas. You can actually watch the whole series on YouTube in a little over five hours.

Just a random fact - on Thursday my friend finally brought me Order 66, so now I'm reading it. At last. And on Thursday I started reading it on my way to the fencing classes - and I had like the best class I've ever had until now. Karen Traviss does have a good effect on me, it seems. =)

Augh, I still haven't read Order 66! I've been meaning to...There's just not enough time in the day!

You're not the only one! Whenever I have Mandalorians on the brain, I tend to do better at my kung fu classes.

Well, four things for me. First, I'm almost done with my current college courses, so I'll have a bit of time to write for a month or two; second, I just picked up The 5000 Year Leap by W. Cleon Skousen, and it's a great book so far; and third, just a few more edits and I'll be done with my current fiction writing project, so I actually can write other things.



Oh yes! And an artist on DA was kind enough to draw a picture of the main characters from aforementioned writing project. Cool.

Has anyone besides me read Alexandre Dumas' The Three Musketeers? Long story short: While I was walking past our repair shop in work today, I had the sudden question pop in my head as to if Darman is supposed to be slightly modeled after d'Artagnan. After all, if I remember my Musketeers correctly (and it's been YEARS since I read the book), d'Artagnan's love had been tragically killed.

I dunno! I know Darman's name came from Peter Darman, a military writer (at least Wookieepedia says so), but I could see her maybe likening it to d'Artagnan later on? I dunno. Random connection there. :O But I like it!

You know what it reminds me of when commandos get named after dead people, get customized colored armor, and show four different personalities?

Driving today I saw a "Jawa Invalid Coach"

That's just great. There's a bunch of invalid Jawas running around, and they have their own coach to collect and ship them!!



(Seriously, it's a legitimate medical transport business. My husband, a certified EMT for over 13 years, had heard of them and wasn't the least bit surprised when I told him about the van that I saw today. That bum fizzed out my little bit of joy. )
