And yeah, most of the T-visor worshiping communities online attract younger people each year. Best example of that is the bobafett.com forum where the regular member is 12 to 14 of age.

But I'm pretty satisfied with the diversity we got around here so far

I like the "getting better with age" comparison. I certainly am much more confident and outspoken now in my 30s than I ever was when I was younger. I liken it to that "I've been around long enough dammit. I *know* what I'm talking about."

As for people not remembering the '80s...I was addicted to VH-1's "I Love the '80s." Even scarier, I think I connected just as easily with their "I Love the '70s" series. I guess I was more impressionable in those very early years of life. But, nothing will ever beat those Saturday Morning '80s cartoons...the ones that started at 6:00 am and ended sometime around noon. There's nothing like that anymore. So sad.

I know what you mean by the Saturday morning cartoons not being on any more, at least you have an excuse to watch them with a youngling and all

I also read a lot of "nerdy" things. I like Fantasy/Science Fiction, so of course Star Wars is on my favourite things to read list. X-Wing and Republic Commando are hands-down the best books to come out of the series, which leads me to my next guilty pleasure: I'm a military history nerd/buff. If I could find some re-enactors, I SO would take part!

Oh, I also made a suit of beskar'gam. With trashcans. It was win.

I've decided to suck at the GAR's (gubment) teet for awhile and get some free unemployment creds. HAH!

My focus/favourite era of history is Classical History, so I would, of course, prefer to re-enact that era. Lorica Segmentata is probably one of my favourite suits of armour as well (aside from good ol' beskar'gam). I know it has a tendency towards... uncomfortability, but it still doesn't take away from it's awesomeness.

I saw the link to the board on Daennika's deviantart one afternoon and decided to sign up. I joined because pretty much anything mando-centric interests me. I find them interesting because they hold fast to values that are slowly disappearing from our world such as, honor, perseverance, courage, loyalty, ect...when they aren't dealing with bounties or enemies that is.
