Well, let me tell you. Or not. I usually go by Naas Atiniir these days, on the internet. The name, if you haven't figured it out, is Mando'a. It basically means I don't take people's crap.

Does nerd/geek count as an occupation? Err...
High School student!

Hobbies:
Costuming, World of Warcraft (I know, I'm crazy), writing (or trying to, anyway), reading (mostly Star Wars books, ), various computer stuff (programming, web design, etc. There's more, though), and a number of other things that either I can't remember or don't want to mention.


Why are you here?
Well... Because Mandalorians are awesome, of course. I enjoy to costume as a Mando, but I like to enjoy the story aspect of my armor(s). Although, I'm still working on that bit. Usually keeps me occupied trying to iron out a good story to finally pick up and roll with. I try though, I try. Someday you'll see what exactly I've come up with.

I'd like to find a community of people that can just hang out, talk about Mandalorians, maybe talk in Mando'a, etc. People that enjoy Mandalorians just as much (or more, if possible) as I do; I might have found such a community.

In short, because I popped over to Daennika's DeviantArt profile and spotted this in her journal, so I figured "Hey...why not?" Not sure how frequent or infrequent I'll be. Probably closer to the latter.

The long bit of it being...well, I'm only recently converted. *storytime!* I didn't really have any recent memory of the Star Wars movies, so I agreed to watch Episodes IV and V with a friend and his brother. Here and there they did make comments on how awesome Boba Fett is, but when he actually showed up on screen...something clicked and I truely understood what they meant. Now, it just so happens that the guy I'm dating is a HUGE SW geek, so when I revealed my enthusiasm, he chuckled and suggested I'd love Mandalorians as a whole. He slowly educated me, and the more I learned, the more I loved. I'm only on the second book of RepCom, but have already fallen in love with the commandos, NULLs, and Skirata.

As for how I found Daennika...when my boyfriend was trying to show me pictures of female Mandalorian armor to show that I could have my own set if I wanted (which you can bet your sweet ass I do), we came across this picture. (This will lead to Daennika, I swear!) Now, I must'a been in some crack-like lack-of-sleep induced state, because I saw it as a comic-like drawing, with their poses ever-so-slightly different. And with a white background. (I don't know, man. I just don't know.) So I became determined to redraw it as I had seen it, so that I could show the world and all that jazz.

In my search of pretty pretty Mandalorian pictures on DeviantArt, I happened upon dear Daennika's picture! I commented about it, and gave her a (slightly shorter) rant about my newfound geekiness, and was greeted with a great level of warmth and acceptance I hadn't expected. Thus, Daennika earned quite a bit of my respect and made me really feel like I had been welcomed into the Mandalorian culture (b'aww, sentimentality), and I'm trying so very hard not to call her Dae'buir before asking if she won't mind it, because I don't know yet what sort of wrath I'd face if she got upset. What led me to checking her page recently and finding this site was her favoriting my latest work, which I found rather flattering (I'm a modest little thing), and was struck to give her another peek, and finally ended up here!

...Writing this has made me realize I haven't added her on DA, and don't know why. o_O *fixes that*

My DeviantArt profile, for one, which is currently swarmed with my random Mando-related attempts. I'm still new to the wonder that is the Mandalorian culture, so there's a good chance I'll putz around like a fool for a long while (but I draw pretty pretty pictures, so that's okay...right?). I do like anime, and World of Warcraft, and other nerdy things that aren't quite as SW or sci-fi as this...but hey, from the little I wasn't too lazy to read, I'm not alone in that.
Now, I should really get going and stop ranting, because I need to wake up for work in about three hours.
