Thank you, everyone, for the warm welcome! I'd have come back in sooner, but work and being at a house that isn't mine makes that sort of thing difficult.

I can really get going when I get a good rant started, and I care about the subject. ^_~ I'll have to ask him next time I talk to him...not sure how big he is on forums, but it's worth a shot!

As for spoilers, they fortunately don't bother me very much. I won't start bawling if I happen across any...I'll more likely go "OooOOOoooh, I can't wait to read all about that!!" But yeah, that was a rather appropriate situation for that emote.

The other, more important reason, would be that I've been a mild Mando fan for a long while. It's kinda like I knew about 'em and vaguely understood that they were awesome but didn't really comprehend. Only fairly recently, muchly due to Mel's influence, have I actually started to really understand how awesome the whole culture really is. Although, my interest in Star Wars in general has grown rapidly since I stumbled across this site: http://www.stardestroyer.net/tlc/index.html

It must be understood that one of my favorite pastimes is mentally pitting different Sci-Fi universes against each other. This includes the much debated Star Wars/Star Trek competition. For the longest time I couldn't imagine Star Wars warships being able to touch anything Star Trek related. Mostly because both my older brother and dad are serious Trekkies. Anyhow, that website really introduced me to the kind of firepower that Star Destroyers, and through association, all Star Wars ships could mount. My opinion quickly reversed. If you can stomach your way through the mass of info on that site, you'll see why. In short, a single turbolaser blast would theoretically hit with the same or greater force than any of the vaunted torpedoes from Star Trek. Star Destroyers field hundreds of guns that size. By extrapolation, Star Destroyer shields had to be even stronger to be able to withstand that kind of firepower.

And I'm ranting. ^_^'

In short, fascination with Mandalorians has risen rapidly. Also, I've always have rather had a blaster than a lightsaber.

Things we can judge you for:
My writing...if I ever finish anything and post it...>_> <_< I'm very bad at actually finishing works I've started. They like to sit in their comfy little folders and stew. However, I have just started off a story that could include Mandalorians and probably will. If I ever get that far along in it. Maybe I'll post bits of it to tease...

And I think I'm done...woo...yeah. *previews it* Maybe not...that color hurts my eyes and I'm not even trying to read the words. Regular blue it is then.

Certain things are better left unspoken It's mostly family issues and stupid quarrels. Though all is better now, got my head back on tracks and this site deserves my full attention again. Thanks for those kind words

The Star Wars Vs Star Trek debate has been going on forever its simple the answers in the name
STAR WARS. Its a joke the trekkies even thing a lightly armed science vessel against a Star Destroyer even if they did get a lucky luke shot there is hundreds of them.

Check out Youtube there's loads of cool fanfilms on the subject.

(And I know its all fiction and they don't really exist)

Haha, my mom is a trekkie and my dad is a Star Wars fan, so I like both. Star Wars is still greatly preferred, though. After all, Star Trek doesn't have Mandalorians...

It's not my fault I keep catching the time at 4:44, and that the number was involved in my birth time, and whatever other odd coincidences I've come across involving that number. And as much as I'd like to thing we are adored by one and all, there are those out there who have things against Mandalorians. There's always someone to be the exception to the rule.

I think, what gets people to love Mandalorians is when they go the extra mile to do a bit of research in the subject. Then a very "personal reason" attracts towards us these masked men and women making their way in the Galaxy Far Far Away. We build our own ideals around one or many Mandalorian characters and it's fun to realize that we share those same ideals with so many different individuals worldwide...

And by the way, I'm not saying these things in order to divert the conversation, I'm just kinda bored here.

It's so very, very true, Dha'Aden. I'm slowly learning more and more, though right now most of the learning is from the RepCom books. Oh, and the game now, too...Bastion gave it to me to play, and despite the fact that it's a first person shooter and I'd previously sworn off them because I SUCK at aiming...I just got Delta out of that nasty ghost ship. ^_^' I think the only reason I've gotten anywhere, though, is because I have a squad that can actually manage to do things successfully.

Welcome Kieran! I always like pitting random things against each other, too. :p I never had a dislike for Star Trek (in fact I really like TNG, not to mention the kick ass new movie), but I've always preferred Star Wars.

And welcome Bastion! What do you mean you refuse to read the Halo books?! The first three are GREAT. They're right up there as my favorite books along with the RepCom series! In fact, I prefer them to the game. The storytelling blows what they have in the games out of the water. Although you can probably skip The Flood because it's pretty much just Halo 1--still, the first and third in the series are amazing.

You have a Master Chief costume? That's AWESOME. I only have a giant 8''-ish figure that I put around the house in random poses.

Mmm...luck and writing...they go hand in hand, don't they. >_> I never seem to have the luck though. I'm always very far away from my computer or any kind of writing medium when I get any serious ideas. My family thinks its hilarious when I freak out, demand a pen from a restaurant waiter, and start scribbling on a napkin. ^_^'
