Oh, geeze, I just realized I have another thing to be judged for.

One of my finals is a ridiculously easy PowerPoint presentation. Just a few criteria to meet technically to show we understand how to use the program and its features (number of slides, animations, pictures, etc.), and the content can be virtually whatever we want. So, I went with what was the most interesting and fresh thing in my mind: a comparison between the makeup, training, and personalities of Delta and Omega squads. ^_^'

EDIT: I am proud to say that (not only did I get 100% on aforementioned final, but also) after looking it over for the technical qualifications, my teacher went back over and actually read about the squads, commenting that it was "interesting." Fingers crossed, ner vode...we may have another convert out there.

I'm a sucker for kilts and kamas, so post pictures of your armor, and I'll have a reason to drool!! Some of us know that it's NOT a skirt and whoever tells you that is ignorant. I have a Scottish bloodline so I'm rather protective of the kilt/kama thing.

Also, I must commend you for your work with stray animals. That's a wonderful thing to do, and my father has a good friend who does this as well, and she has told me some very sad stories. I hope your experiences are less tragic.

Sorry just realised I (possibly, or I may just be confusing myself again) used the wrong terminology in saying RPG, what I meant was games like KOTOR and KOTOR 2:TSL etc, playing through acting as my mando character would, and not using force powers to make it a little more difficult for myself...

Olarom, RC-2017. Judging by the thread you made, I believe it wouldn't be much of a stretch to assume you wouldn't much mind being referred to as Grit? I also encourage the posting of pictures of your armor; I love looking at what others have done! Also, I think yours would be the first(-ish?) to have a kama.

Heh. Regarding that, I rather like mandomemory's signature: Real men wear kamas. I like the ironic and defiant tone and implications of it. I understand what kamas represent so no skirt jokes from me (unless I give in to the urge to be funny). I never really saw them as "skirts," even before I knew what they were symbolic of. I think, if I mentally defined them as anything beyond a decorative symbol, it would be something along the lines of "hip cape."

I too, admit to admiring your dedication to the Mando way, and find the context increasingly appropriate to mention that I've commited Vode An and Gra'tua Cuun to memory (having happily found them free to download here), with the minor modification of replacing "Coruscanta" with "Mando'yaim", and am in the process of helping Kyr'ika learn the latter song.

Aye, ner vod. Grit is my user name over on Mando Mercs. It's also both my commando character's
chosen name, and his adopted son's(my merc character) given name.

Hmm yes I have found this video and it was very interesting but of course I only found it after completing my armour when we got faster internet. I shall post pics of my armour asap, and will probably start a W.I.P thread of my next set which I will be making from sintra.

That's pretty ruttin' good, Tracyn! Incredibly smooth-looking for paper mache. I have problems with that when working in that medium. And the more often I see fingerless gloves, the better I feel about (planning on) doing the same with my own armor. I can't stand wearing gloves all the time...I need at least bare fingertips to feel what I'm doing and such without being driven mad. The extra padding from full gloves makes me feel handicapped, too.

Thanks, I think the lighting in the pic makes it look smoother, and I know what you mean about fingerless gloves, thay make thing eternally easier to do
