| Hi Maddie, I just looked at your family's beskar'gam. LOVE IT! I especially love your parasol, and the black lace on your kama. It's kind of Gilbert & Sullivan with a bad-ass twist. The purple is an absolutely wonderful shade and goes well with the theme of the armor. I think if I ever get money put together to start piecing together some armor, I might want to consider a variant on your color scheme. I also noticed a snowflake kind of theme on the helmets. Is that something significant to your family, as a whole? If so, that's wonderful that you all have something like that. Someone on deviantart had made a Mandalorian Butterfly, and I would love to be able to use that as my "symbol." I know I said it earlier, but now that I had time to look into your work, I just wanted to make sure I welcomed you to the Boards appropriately!! | |

| Name Joshua
Age 25
Location SoCal, USA
Occupation Rad. Tech student. I know radiation and energy in all its forms and the human body, anatomy, biology, physiology, even a small amount of psycology. Yeah i don't have much sanity left.
Hobbies Computers, mechanics, electronics, writing, video games, reading (i read more than is healthy for any human), theres more but i dont' remember everything at once.
Why are you here? To learn and reason more about mando culture, and see if i can't find parallels among other cultures.
Things we can judge you for: My ideas, thoughts, and even logical reasoning. (i need assurances that i'm still sane) I may come out with some writings sooner or later.

| @ Ms.MaraJade The snowflake is because our last name means "flake" in Italian (we actually have an old cereal box at our house with out name on it. ) It's easier to draw a snowflake design than a corn flake design and as far as we know, it's used the same way. I'm actually trying to make up our mando family name so it includes snow... it keeps me occupied. | |

| Hi mando-mantis! Thanks for the insight on the snowflake. I think it's wonderful that you're trying to incorporate your heritage into your Mando costume. I wanted to somehow put my Scottish heritage into mine (whenever money comes around again for me to get the armor and the soft parts of the costume). However, the standard Melville Clan tartan doesn't have any purple in it. I believe, if I remember correctly, that the Melville Hunter or Ancient Clan tartan does, so I may go with the alternate color scheme instead of the standard. I don't know if this helps, but according to the Karen Traviss Mando'a dictionary, the Mando'a word for snow is: cin'ciri (pronounced seen-SEE-ree). Maybe you can incorporate that somehow into your clan name. Good luck! | |

| I feel so useful!! Glad I was able to help, mando-mantis! Mesh'la, thanks for getting the dictionary to mando-mantis! Daennika, I was going to teach myself a "Mando'a word of the Day," but I never quite got around to getting there. So, I keep the dictionary around for when I want to look up something...usually for writing. But, yeah, I agree...they created some nifty-sounding words in that language. | |

| I'm like Boba Fett in Legacy of the Force, in the way that I don't use mando'a. A choice I made in order to stay in touch with my earthly side and make the world of Mandalorians a little less Klingon | |

| Hi everyone
Name: Jessica
Age: 21
Location: New Brunswick, Canada
Occupation: Soon to be a member of the Canadian Forces but at the moment I'm working for my uncle at the fast food place he manages because I was sick of sitting at home doing nothing and I knew he could use a reliable employee.
Hobbies: movies, books, writing
Why are you here? I've always liked Mandalorians. It started with Boba then expanded. I just recently discovered the Republic Commando novels. I haven't read books that fast in a long time, almost done 501st. Anyway, I found the link to this site on ff.net where I spend the majority of my free time.
Things we can judge you for: I've posted a couple stories on ff.net under the same username, but they're for the show Supernatural. Feel free to read them and send me reviews. I love reviews and don't have nearly enough of them. I'm working on a couple Star Wars stories but I don't like to post anything until I have it finished so it may be awhile before anyone gets to see any of them.

| Hi there DarthMako! thanks for joining us here, I hope you'll find things that might interest you around the boards. If I can digress here, I also happen to be a Supernatural buff, but I want to keep away from the fanfics written on them because of the swarming of gay "Wincest" I hope yours are nothing like that. Welcome to the club, Mako! | |

I pretty much inhaled the books, too. My husband picked up Hard Contact on a whim on day a couple years ago, and I was in need of something (Star Wars-related) to read since it was between any decent novels at that time. When I found the book on the dining room table, I flipped through it and was hooked just from the prologue. So, yeah, I completely understand what it's like to read through something fast. Feel free to post your thoughts when you're done with 501st in the book discussion section.

| So if you've been a mando fan forever, why are you Darth? Just wondering.
Also, Wincest is all right, I suppose. But the fandom is just so overrun by it that it becomes a little stale a little fast.

| The name was given to me by a friend that isn't so into Star Wars. I have no idea where she got Mako though. But I liked it so I decided to use it everywhere, even places that have zero relation to Star Wars. | |

Well, a Mako is a kind of shark. It's also a vehicle from Mass Effect. Just two possibilities

| Hey, heard about the website for a while, just been too busy to check it out. Figured I'd stop in and say hi.
Name: Pete (Sadriel Fett)
Age: thirty-something
Location: Currently stationed in Louisiana, soon to be Osan, South Korea
Occupation: U.S. Air Force
Hobbies: Reading, backpacking, hiking, camping, video games, music, Sci-Fi, American Civil War history, collecting Boba Fett and Jango Fett stuff (go figure, huh?), Scotland, Ireland, comic books (DC Comics), and model building
Why are you here? For love of all things Mandalorian, why else?
Things we can judge you for: I probably collect more Fett stuff than I probably should (right, like that's a sin).
